Adelaide opened in April 2004 and is a 9 bed, 24 hour unit. Adelaide lodge is a medium size, comfortable and spacious residential property, based in Lewisham. Six of the beds are block booked by three local community health teams to offer respite placements which may only last for a couple of weeks and it is essential that we encourage residents with their daily living skills for when they go home. The remaining three beds are for permanent placements. The property is well maintained and all residents are encouraged to cook, clean and look after themselves.

To provide supported housing accommodation to people with stress related needs.
To enable residents disadvantaged by ill health and challenging behaviour to live in the community.
To facilitate and encourage residents to establish a level of independence, compatible with their abilities and circumtances.
To encourage residents to take control of, and responsibility for their own behaviour, health needs and aspirations, in an inter-dependent manner.
To establish an integrated approach on strategies for individual support needs, within existing resources, or in case these resources are no available, to encourage their development.

Your accommdation & Facilities:

Adelaide Lodge provides each resident with an individual living space, communal facilities and 24-hour staffing support

Bedrooms

Each resident's room is a space they can really call their own! They are fully furnished, comfortable and spacious. Each has a bed, bedside table, wardrobe, and chest of drawers for your belongings.

Personal Facilities

Adelaide Lodge has several bathrooms, showers and cloakrooms for your shared use, and each bedroom is equipped with private wash facilities.

Kitchen and Dinning room

There is a large, fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable dinning area.

Laundry facilities

There is a washing machine and tumble dryer for you to use, as well as an iron, ironing board and clothes airers

Lounge

There is a comfortable lounge with a T.V and a computer with internet connection. If you want to bring your own T.V to Adelaide Lodge, the cost of the shared licence is paid for by the Quo Vadis Trust. You can also use your own Laptop or desktop in your room because we provide wireless internet.

Garden

There is a back garden, for the shared use of all the residents

Local Area

Adelaide Lodge is located in a pleasant residential road in the London Borough of Lewisham. There are soem local amenities and a varity of small shops close by, to meet your everyday needs. The area is well served by buses and trains.
